Associate Attorney

Our client, a well-respected boutique law firm, is looking to hire a New York Barred Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of legal experience, preferably with a background or keen interest in litigation. The successful candidate should display a sound understanding of legal concepts and principles related to our firm's scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assisting partners and senior attorneys in managing lawsuits and disputes.
2. Leveraging legal knowledge and experiences to devise legal strategies.
3. Drafting legal documents, pleadings, motions, briefs, and opinions.
4. Conducting thorough and methodical legal research.
5. Engaging in active client interaction to understand their legal needs and provide excellent legal advice.
6. Assisting in the preparation of and participate in depositions and trials as necessary.
7. Attending court proceedings and help represent our clients effectively.

Requirements:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
2. Valid license to practice law in New York.
3. 2-4 years of legal experience, preferably with litigation involvement.
4. Strong research abilities and excellent legal analysis skills.
5. Great written and verbal communication skills for drafting legal documents, client communication, and court proceedings.
6. Litigation, court, or deposition experience will be greatly preferred.
7. Experience in specific areas of law practiced by the firm is helpful but not mandatory.
8. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.
9. Highly motivated, diligent, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
