Associate Nutritionist
JOB SUMMARY: This position aims to strengthen our capabilities to drive business opportunities and create a competitive advantage in the marketplace through nutrition. This role will provide tactical support to the R&D team on product development, recipe management, and scientific literature review. This requires specialized knowledge in nutrition to distinguish scientifically proven health effects from perceived benefits and to assist with assessing health-forward project concepts for credibility. This role also will contribute to the successful implementation of Nestlé’s global nutrition strategy and tools in the U.S. market.

- Strategy execution: Ensure that the commitment to Nestlé’s nutrition strategy and tools are understood, embedded, and activated across assigned categories and brands.
- Product development: Participate actively in I&R projects and advise cross-functional teams on nutritional requirements, claims, and other communications.
- Translate insights into tangible actions and proposals (clear and concise) to shape the Innovation & Renovation pipeline and guide product development.
- Metrics & measurement: Manage claims dataset, analyze portfolio trends, and help translate findings into compelling messaging to drive growth through Nutrition.
- Horizon scanning: Identify portfolio gaps and opportunities based on consumer trends, competitive landscape, nutritional science, public health, and regulatory environments.
- Communications support: Contribute to the development of a wide range of Nutrition R&D communications, e.g., presentations, position statements, and survey responses.
- Collaboration: Help foster a culture of teamwork and achievement on R&D activities and serve as a single point of contact to channel nutrition-related requests.
- Provide nutritional expertise and guidance during the ideation and concept phase of projects; continue engagement throughout the entire I2L process to ensure nutritional success criteria is delivered at launch.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition science is required; Masters preferred.
- 1-2 years of nutrition, health & wellness a plus.
- Registered dietitian preferred.
- Strong research, analytical skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint applications
- Prior experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or food industry preferred.
