Supervises field crew in maintaining a large helicopter, its component parts and the ground support equipment needed for the job. Maintains the aircraft to ensure it is in an airworthy condition.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
40% Performs maintenance & inspection activities on aircraft and support equipment. Schedules and conducts major component changes and test flights.
20% Supervises maintenance crew performing repairs and inspections of aircraft and support equipment in absence of Crew Chief.
15% Ensures that all log books and forms recording the work performed are accurate and are maintained to FAA and CHI standards.
15% Provides on the job training to other employees.
5% Coordinates crew and equipment movement and logistics for aircraft operation from site to site.
5% Schedules work shifts and duty time for crew members.
Performs work safely and utilizes the appropriate technical data for the assigned task.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications And Experience
Supervisor or management experience preferred with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to train and coach employees
A&P certificate required.
Meet the training requirements of GP-105 manual or applicable PQS manual.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able present ideas, concepts and proposals with a wide range of audiences at all levels both internal and external to the company.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to access all portions of aircraft for maintenance and inspection purposes.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Maintain a valid Driver’s license (To drive company vehicles).
