Ensuring audits are in compliance with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, accepted Accounting Principles, and Government Auditing Standards.
Performing testing of various types of audits to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of current controls.
Performing internal audits that are complex and highly technical.
Serve as the lead auditor which includes assigning work, providing training to audit staff and providing technical assistance to Agency staff.
Reviewing testing performed by other auditors assigned to the same project.
Interviewing engagement client during the planning phase of the audit and leads entrance and exit conferences.
Ensuring that all issues and recommendations are properly supported.
Ensuring that audit reports are accurate, concise, thorough, relevant, and timely.
Ensuring exit meetings are held with the engagement client and communicating the details as per the agreed upon terms.
Assisting in the preparation of the agency's internal annual risk assessment.
Conducting exit conferences and collecting corrective action plans.
Monitoring and following-up on corrective action plans.
Assisting the Privacy Coordinator when needed and serving as backup to the Privacy Coordinator.
Performing additional duties as assigned.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance with at least 15 semester hours in auditing, accounting or related courses; professional auditing experience is required
Government accounting, auditing or risk assessment, financial and records management required.
If invited to interview, please obtain your Official 10 year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles to bring with you. Official transcripts will be required to verify college degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Supervisory and SCEIS experience preferred.
