About the Role:
We are seeking an exceptional individual with industry experience in antibody development for a Computational Immunologist/Bioinformatic pipeline engineer role to lead development of Protillion's computational pipeline for evaluating antibody developability, as well as the development of our proprietary naive antibody libraries for discovery.
The role will require subject matter expertise and scientific leadership, as well as, initially, significant hands-on development work. The successful candidate will have the ability to both be an exceptional individual contributor as well as a team leader as the organization continues to expand.
Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking an exceptional individual with industry experience in antibody development for a Computational Immunologist/Bioinformatic pipeline engineer role to lead development of Protillion's computational pipeline for evaluating antibody developability, as well as the development of our proprietary naive antibody libraries for discovery.
The role will require subject matter expertise and scientific leadership, as well as, initially, significant hands-on development work. The successful candidate will have the ability to both be an exceptional individual contributor as well as a team leader as the organization continues to expand.
Job Responsibilities:
- Advise management on key metrics of antibody stability and manufacturability, as well as integrated computational and experimental approaches for evaluation of antibody developability.
- Primary responsibility for development of software pipelines for computational evaluation of antibody developability.
- Primary responsibility for development of naive antibody libraries, based on natural sequences and diversity, to maximize performance and quality, and ultimately to select high-quality sequences.
- Ph.D. in computational biology, computer science, structural biology or related field with at least 3 years of experience in an antibody development environment.
- Deep understanding of principles of antibody stability, solubility, immunogenicity, aggregation potential, chemical and other manufacturing liabilities, as well as industry standard methods, and computational approaches (including commercial software offerings) for evaluation of the above.
- Intimate knowledge of commercially available DNA synthesis products and providers and their limitations, as well as gene assembly methods in order to design practically and economically viable approaches to library synthesis and assembly.
