We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Agricultural Broker to join our team. The Agricultural Broker will play a pivotal role in assisting growers in maximizing their profitability by providing expert advice on grain marketing strategies, risk management, and vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping clients succeed in the agricultural industry.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with growers, understanding their unique needs, objectives, and risk tolerances.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations on grain marketing strategies, including cash sales, futures, and options transactions, to optimize profitability.
  • Analyze market trends, crop forecasts, and economic indicators to identify potential risks and opportunities for clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to leverage our revenue management platform to develop customized marketing plans for clients.
  • Assist growers in managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and procuring inputs to optimize operating costs.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, government policies, and market regulations that may impact clients' operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and market insights to inform decision-making and strategy development.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients, monitoring performance metrics and adjusting strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.

Job Details

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or industry certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in agricultural brokerage, grain marketing, or related field, with a strong understanding of commodity markets, pricing mechanisms, and risk management strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex concepts and build rapport with clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in using technology and software tools for market analysis, data management, and client communication.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of agricultural production practices, crop management, and agronomic principles is desirable.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices
