Business Analyst / Data Analyst

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Business Analyst with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC and Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Help deliver new functionality to the Market Risk Technology team to deliver a strategic platform with Markets and Finance stakeholders for managing and reporting out on Market Risk
• Responsible for planning and coordinating the execution of project/small program deliverables which requires the engagement of multiple teams
• Key responsibilities include communicating work objectives, coordinating delivery, facilitating sync points across teams, providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables, and managing program risk and compliance to standards
• Ensure delivery meets the client’s expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, timeline, and cost
• Lead and coordinate routines to support delivery (for example, kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates, etc.)
• Manage coordination of delivery and dependencies across multiple teams
• Facilitate communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline
• Provide status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks, issues, and schedule
• Work with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements
• Support resource planning for delivery and execution
• Ensure adherence with Enterprise Change Management standards
• Understand business requirements and lead analysis and translation into technical requirements including budgeting and technical documentation
• Review technical designs with the development team and ensure it meets the business partner requirements and is a scalable solution to meet longer term strategy
• Key contributor in Agile routines including sprint and capacity planning, prioritizing tasks for releases, back-log maintenance
• Provide support for business partners in required user acceptance testing
• Identify and manage cross project or functional interdependencies
• Deliver timely and accurate weekly status reports on projects
• Identify success metrics and review performance with business partners and leadership
  
  

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience in Market Risk or comparable financial area
• Experience in Value at Risk (VaR), Risks Not in VaR (RNiV)
• Excellent technical skills in SQL, Excel, VBA
  
  

Desired skills:

• Programming skills or knowledge of Python development
• Attention to details and ability to analyze problems independently with intellectual curiosity
• Strong written and verbal communications
• Ability to deliver quality outcomes in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment
  
  

Pay Range: $74.51 - $82.51
