Job Title: Business Analyst Expert

Location: Albany, NY (hybrid)

Job Type: Contract

Job Summary: This position will be responsible for eliciting requirements as the foundation for the solution to the organization's business needs as it relates to the Real Property System Online Project; identifying solutions aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the system, business process, or product/service to fulfill the business requirements.

Qualifications

  • 84 months experience in gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements
  • 72 months experience in preparing functional and detail system design documents
  • 72 months experience with all phases of testing (i.e., system, integration, user acceptance and pilot) including the creation of use cases, test conditions, and review of output.
  • 12 months experience with automated testing including review of output and maintenance of test scripts
  • 60 Months experience systems analysis, testing and implementation of a web-based system
  • 60 Months experience with the software development life cycle including system implementation into multiple environments and interaction between environments
  • 36 Months experience working with large databases, would contain over 15 million records, or would be available for over 500 users
  • 24 months experience mapping data elements from source to target schema.
  • 24 Months experience writing, trouble-shooting and running basic and complex SQL queries.

Responsibilities: On a day-to-day basis the tasks to be performed may consist of:

  • describing in a written document what the system must do in order to satisfy the established business requirements
  • validating requirements throughout the product/system development life cycle (SDLC)
  • developing test plans/scenarios and logical designs
  • reviewing and writing testing scenarios
  • reviewing test scripts and test results
  • identifying constraints and risks
  • communicating with development staff
