Responsibilities
Prepare and submit monthly resident billings for services provided.
Communicate with suppliers/vendors concerning errors or questions on invoices.
Monitor and manage the accounts receivable private collection process.
Pursue past due accounts persistently and maintain proper back-up documentation.
Obtain and submit all required documentation to bill third party payers as per program/company guidelines.
Maintain financial records including cash receipts, cash disbursements; accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll journal, and general ledger as directed.
Responsible for ensuring daily bank deposits are made.
Responsible for ensuring ancillary entries are made.
Provide statistics to audit and reimbursement for year-end processing.
Process check runs with direction from the corporate accounting department.
Maintain an accurate accounting of patient trust funds including monthly reconciliation and quarterly statements to responsible parties. Reconcile petty cash for Patient Trust Fund daily.
Verify that resident trust is accurately recorded.
Participate in the resident admission process by providing explanations of the facility's rates, billing cycle and payment terms, including collecting the first month's advance payment upon admission.
Ensure timely follow-up of Medicaid Pending application, documents, status, etc. with appropriate state agencies.
Resolve vendor inquiries.
Work with home office to set-up bimonthly check runs.
Maintain petty cash drawer including receipt recording and reconciliation.
Maintain petty cash bank account including recording and reconciliation of checks written and debit card activity.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred.
Minimum of 2 years related experience required.
Experience in Skilled Nursing care facilities billing required
Wage Range: $25-$31 D.O.E.
