Layout and draw schematic, orthographic, and isometric views depicting functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
Revise existing designs to correct operating deficiencies and reduce production problems.
Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs, procedures, and instructions.
Compute mathematical formulas to design and develop detailed drawings for components or machinery, using computer aided drafting (AutoCAD) software.
Coordinate and consult with other workers to resolve design issues and other technical problems.
Layout, draw, and reproduce illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications to describe operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
Field surveying of existing conditions to ensure accurate design of new drawings.
