Prepare and execute crash safety-related impact simulations using LS-DYNA.
Analyze and evaluate simulation results to ensure alignment with advanced safety standards.
Compare simulation outcomes against target automobile performance criteria, including those set by the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), along with Client's internal safety standards.
Identify and implement appropriate countermeasures to meet safety criteria if simulations do not meet target performance.
Communicate recommendations and findings to relevant Engineering teams within the Client organization.
Generate comprehensive engineering documentation, including detailed written reports and collaboration with design and test engineers.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience with LS-DYNA, utilizing pre-processor and post-processor tools (ANSA and Meta-Post) for complex vehicle system-level CAE model construction, visualization, and analysis.
An advanced degree in a related field can be substituted for 2 years of experience.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BS ME).
Minimum of 6 years of industry experience as a CAE analyst, including specific solver software usage relevant to the department's specialty area.
