Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering Manager to focus on servicing small weddings and corporate groups. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the catering and events industry, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch event and program experiences. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving the success of our catering services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Client Relations:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences.

Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the planning and execution process.

Collaborate with clients to create customized menus and event details that align with their vision.

 

Event Planning and Execution:

Plan, coordinate, and execute catering events, with a specific emphasis on small weddings and corporate groups.

Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including guest room needs, event setup, banquet event orders, and day of coordination.

Ensure events run smoothly and exceed client expectations.

 

Financial Management:

Provide accurate and timely cost estimates to clients.

Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for catering upsell opportunities.

Work closely with accounting to close out final bills and ensure proper deposits are being taken.

 

Vendor and Supplier Management:

Maintain relationships with local vendors, ensuring the availability of high-quality services.

 

 

Experience

At least two years as a Catering Manager or similar role in the catering industry.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Excellent computer knowledge skills in Delphi, Springer Miller, Microsoft Office; Word and Excel
Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines, set priorities, plan, and organize

Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
