As a Certified Welding Inspector working with the LotusWorks team, you will join our client site in the battery manufacturing sector. This job is based in a cutting-edge facility in Queen Creek, Arizona.
Your Job Purpose:
As a Certified Welding Inspector working with the LotusWorks team, you will join our client site in the battery manufacturing sector. This job is based in a cutting-edge facility in Queen Creek, Arizona.
Responsibilities:
Perform welding inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
Conduct visual inspections of welds and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Review and interpret welding procedure specifications (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR).
Verify the qualification of welders and welding operators.
Monitor welding processes and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Prepare and maintain accurate inspection records and reports.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve welding-related issues.
Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) as required.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding processes and product quality.
Skills Required:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and quality standards.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Experience with non-destructive testing methods.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Education / Licenses / Certifications
Must have a certification as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) by the American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent.
Additional certifications in NDT methods. (preferred)
