Perform chemical and instrumental analysis on fuels, oils and other lubricants using standard testing methods as prescribed by ASTM and TIP Performs analysis on any sample introduced; Prepare solutions for various tests, transfers samples from one area to another in the lab; maintains workbooks and equipment on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as per SOP's and TIP's and test procedures. Performs daily calculations, plots graphs And charts as needed. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions, perform other duties as assigned. Must be willing to work day and evening shift, some weekend work and adjusted work schedules may be required. Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Required Educations, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be a self-starter with attention to details
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
Must have basic computer and laboratory skills
Must have basic hand tools knowledge
Must be able to operate basic lab equipment such as analytical balances, filtering apparatus and with lab fume hoods
Must have a HS Diploma or equivalent including some college chemistry
Steel -toed shoes required
MVR is required
Use of golf cart for sample transfer
