We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief of Staff to partner with the CEO ensuring the company's priorities are aligned and executed efficiently. This is a versatile role that requires a mix of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is ready to tackle a wide range of responsibilities.


Responsibilities

Strategic planning & execution

  • Partner with the CEO in setting and executing the company's strategic goals.
  • Oversee and drive critical projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Prepare and manage executive communications, including presentations, reports, and meeting agendas.

Operational efficiency

  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency by streamlining processes, introducing new tools, or refining existing workflows.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment and collaboration between teams.
  • Assist in effective resource allocation, including budgeting, staffing, and other operational needs.

Data and analytics

  • Develop and maintain performance metrics to measure the success of initiatives and overall company performance.
  • Conduct research on market trends, competitors, and potential opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to the CEO and leadership team.

External Relations

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and customers.
  • Assist with public relations efforts, such as handling media inquiries and managing the company’s public image.

Special projects

  • Take on special projects, ranging from exploring new business opportunities to handling urgent matters.
  • Assist in preparing materials for board meetings and fundraising.
  • Support the CEO and leadership team in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining top talent.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in an operational or project management role.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically while delivering on the details.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and driving organizational initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a willingness to take initiative and drive projects forward.

Bonus skills

  • Experience in a startup or technology environment
  • Exposure to the hardware space or working closely with hardware teams


This is a hybrid role based out of our San Francisco location. You are generally expected to be available to join board meetings, work sessions, customer visits, and events within the Bay Area 1-2 days per week. When working from home, our collaboration hours are between 10am and 2pm PT for any team meetings and/or discussions, otherwise, work hours are flexible.
