Performs level work providing a full range of intake and/or permanency social casework services for a variety of program areas such as child abuse and neglect cases, youth-in-conflict cases, as well as adult protection.
May also provide for the provision of ancillary services such as recruitment and supervision of foster homes and placement/services evaluations.
The Department may modify the duties as needed.
Park County hires generalists who may be asked to do any of the following:
Intake Caseworker: Work involves assessing allegations of abuse/neglect and referring clients to appropriate services. Provides crisis intervention in these situations.
Permanency Caseworker: Work involves direct casework specializing in child/adult protection, family and adolescent crisis response, delinquency and parent/child conflict, emancipation, planning and facilitating adoptions.
Family Engagement Caseworker: Engages families and professionals in the casework process through promoting the safety, permanency, and well being of children and families in the child welfare system during meetings and home visits. Assisting child welfare staff in actively collaborating and partnering with family members throughout their involvement with the child welfare system.
