Job Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will support students by providing direct services, supporting RTI, and maintaining all associated documentation. You’ll be an essential part of the team working closely with all key stakeholders including students, families, and educators to provide quality speech and language services. As an instrumental member of the therapy services team, you will address the communication skills of students aged 3-22. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough evaluations to assess speech and language disorders that impact academic achievement
Collaborating with key stakeholders to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address each student's specific needs
Delivering direct and indirect speech and language services to identified students
Working in close partnership with classroom teachers and interdisciplinary teams to support students' speech and language development
Continuously monitoring student progress through observations and data collection, allowing for necessary adjustments to treatment plans
Provide varied service delivery models (i.e. push-in, pull-out) to enhance the progress of your students.
Actively participate in all school-based RTI initiatives
Maintaining transparent and regular communication with caregivers, offering updates and strategies to foster continued growth at home
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:
Experience working with children, ideally in a school-based or pediatric setting
A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
A valid D.C. SLP license in the District of Columbia issued by the D.C. Department of Health, Board of Audiology and Speech Pathology
