Clinical Interns work to assist other licensed staff members in providing patient care while obtaining the training needed to become licensed counselors. Clinical Interns may provide patient care only under the supervision of a licensed and credentialed staff member or consultant.
Requirements:
Candidate must be certified as an LCDC Intern by the Texas Dept of State Health Services.
Candidate must have an associates or bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or be within one year of completion of an associates or bachelor's degree to be eligible for the Intern position.
Candidate must be able to walk across campus multiple times during a shift and be able to bend, stoop, sit, stand and lift up to 40 pounds.
If recovering, must have a minimum of one year of continuous sobriety.
Schedule:
Schedule will vary based on the needs of the department that you are currently assigned to.
This will include an evening and weekend rotation.
