Responsibilities
Residents will provide pastoral/spiritual care to Hillcrest Medical Center (HMC)’s patients, families, and staff and reflect on these pastoral encounters as a basis for their learning.
Must be able to work in an interdisciplinary, ecumenical, interfaith, and multi-cultural environment.
As part of the learning, a trainee will assess and identify patient and family needs; provide coverage for crisis intervention; maintain a working relationship between pastoral care department, medical staff and other departments; provide pastoral services in such a way as to accomplish the institutional as well as the departmental objectives; participate in on-call rotation on weekdays and Sundays; and accept and fulfill other departmental responsibilities as assigned.
