Cloud Networking Engineer

LaSalle Network is partnered with a leading organization dedicated to revolutionizing data solutions and driving progress in various industries They are currently seeking a skilled Cloud Networking Engineer to join their team in Washington, DC.

As a key member of their organization, you will play a pivotal role in designing and managing cloud networking solutions for a high-profile project. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cutting-edge networking technologies to ensure optimal performance and security. This opportunity is full time and hybrid in Washington D.C.

Cloud Networking Engineer Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer cloud services, addressing and resolving Incident and Problem tickets efficiently
• Develop and implement advanced IPv6 networking strategies for a multi-cloud environment
• Implement robust security measures for IPv6 networks, including firewall configurations and intrusion detection systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IPv6 networking solutions seamlessly
• Oversee the management and administration of cloud networking components, such as VPCs, subnets, Load Balancers and Security Groups
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members on IPv6 networking implementation in cloud environments

Cloud Networking Engineer Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in designing and integrating cloud computing systems
• Foundational certification from a Cloud Provider
• 7+ years of experience in cloud network technologies, with a focus on IPv6 networking
• Proficiency in IPv6 addressing, routing and subnetting
• Familiarity with NAT64 and DNS64 translation services
• Hands-on experience managing dual-stack networks
• Strong understanding of network security principles and practices
• Intermediate knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
• AWS Advanced Networking Specialty certification OR Azure Networking Engineer certification
