We’re looking for an experienced CMM Programmer Candidate. You will have the opportunity to work with an experience and highly motivated team.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • CMM Programming: Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform precision measurements and prove out inspection routines of machined components.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of manufactured parts using CMM equipment to ensure adherence to engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of inspection programs, including measurement data, inspection reports, and non-conformance records.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing engineers and production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance quality processes and optimize inspection procedures.
  • Training Support: Assist in training initiatives for operators and team members on CMM operation, inspection techniques, and quality standards.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality regulations, and company policies in all quality-related activities.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize root cause analysis tools to investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Teamwork and Initiative: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Communication and Organization: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability to meet changing business needs and priorities.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in CMM programming and operation, with a strong understanding of inspection methodologies, GD&T and metrology principles. Strong preference for PC DMIS experience.
  • Mentoring: Demonstrated mentoring skills with the ability to develop others in quality-related processes and techniques.
  • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to implementing and developing business improvement initiatives within the Quality department, which may include developing procedures for inspectors and providing training.
  • Interpersonal and Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and adept at troubleshooting quality issues.

Education And/or Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, CMM programming, or related field.
  • Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with manual layout inspection techniques and part features made in various machining processes such as turning and milling.
  • Experience in aerospace is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret blueprints and sketches accurately.
