Job Title: COBOL Developer

Location: Albany, NY (Onsite)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain COBOL applications using z/OS 4.2.0/v3.2.
  • Utilize VSAM file structures for efficient data management.
  • Work with DB2/SQL for database operations.
  • Perform data analysis and design to ensure high data quality.
  • Address data quality issues and implement effective remediation strategies.
  • Utilize Endevor for version control and management.
  • Act as a lead programmer, providing guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in COBOL/JCL with version z/OS 4.2.0/v3.2.
  • Strong understanding of VSAM file structures.
  • Experience with DB2/SQL for database operations.
  • Familiarity with Endevor for version control.
  • Ability to perform data analysis and design.
  • Experience in addressing data quality issues and implementing remediation strategies.
  • Knowledge of CA-Interest is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a lead programmer role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
