Collections Supervisor

As the Collections Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and assisting Collectors with collecting, managing, and providing resolution of outstanding invoices in their portfolios and providing a point of escalation for customer complaints and issues. Under the leadership of the Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing the AR aging for Resources Connection LLC, Canada and Mexico, and assisting International AR teams as needed, ensuring all receivables are collected in a timely manner, and minimizing our uncollectable debt.

You will interact with groups within RGP, including Revenue, Operations, Cash and Billing, to reconcile and resolve customer accounts to payment as close to payment terms as possible as well as prepare monthly reporting and coordinate meetings with Revenue and Operations to discuss the condition of accounts. You will identify accounts that may be at risk for non-collection, help prepare the quarterly AR Reserve, manage the customer watchlist, perform credit assessments on new or returning clients, assist with customer bankruptcies and escalate matters to our Senior Manager for Legal resolution.



What you will work on

  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations of collections in North America.
  • Perform duties inherent in a supervisor role including directing and reviewing work of the employees.
  • Monitor and measure team member performance and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Supervise and develop employees including communication with staff, hiring and training staff, scheduling and assigning work, providing guidance to staff, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Review accounts for bad debt and communicate to the Manager.
  • Identify accounts requiring collection agency or legal action.
  • Responsible for projects and special tasks when assigned.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of reports for management.
  • Identify negative client account trends and notify the manager.
  • Participate in collection activities as needed to ensure success.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution preferred.
  • Strong organization and supervisory skills. 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a similar role.
  • Must have a basic understanding of accounting principles and practices of accounts receivable transactions.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, strong customer service is required. Proven understanding and ability to resolve problem accounts and resolve difficult situations.
  • Must have intermediate Excel skills, including the use of Xlookups, Vlookups and Pivot Tables.

  • All Compensation is commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors, including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
  • Base Pay Range: $64,700 - $80,900
  • Other Compensation: Incentive Compensation.
