Currently accepting applications for Assistant Project Managers (APM) for positions throughout the state of Michigan.

BOTTOM LINE RESPONSIBILITY

Support planning and execution of the construction process. Complete quality building, on time, to the Client’s full satisfaction, and at the Company’s expected levels of safety, environmental standards, and profit.

Reports to a Project Manager (PM) and Project Executive (VP, PD, or Sr. PM)

Secondary Responsibilities

Support Project Manager in developing strong and long-term relationships with Client. Attend Conferences and Trade shows when needed to expand network and provide additional training.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Ensure project documentation is organized and kept up to date (expeditious completion of RFIs, Submittals, and Material Tracking Status Log), mentor and coach PEs as needed on this process.
• Support PM in management of budget and PCO Process.
• Collaboratively administer Bulletins and Change Orders.
• Plan and organize construction process with PM and Superintendent input.
• Support Superintendent in preparing Three-Week Look-Ahead schedule.
• Support preparation of bid packages and select contractors.
• Prepare budget spreadsheet breakdown for accounting.
• Support preparation of buyout schedule collaboratively with PM.
• Validate Trade Contractors’ schedule of values and prepare “Trade Contract” check list for accounting.
• Participate in weekly progress meetings with contractors.
• Enforce Clark’s safety, environmental, and cleanliness standards.
• Expedite the close-out process with minimum punch list items and provide input for Lessons Learned at the close-out meeting.
• Communicate with Client/Owner regularly and maintain strong relationships.
• Prepare Profit Projections and WIP Reports.
• Commit to continuous improvement of self and company, enabling both to grow soundly, profitably, and professionally.
  
  

REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate,

• Preferred- 4-year college degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar disciplines
• displays superior communication and organizational skills,
• is resourceful and versatile in his/her ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities,
• Works well and effectively with colleagues, client representatives, architects and engineers, trade contractors and local authorities,
• is dedicated to helping the team deliver a finished product, safely and on time, having gained and strengthened the Client’s trust in our Company.
• Prior experience is valued.
