SUMMARY

The Global Mobility and Compensation Professional will provide support to our business units, local management, and employees. Focuses on providing high performance, high caring, and purpose driven HR services for a diverse workforce to achieve the company’s vision, mission, values, and strategic direction.

Works in conjunction with the entire Human Resource Department in its efforts to support, by means of strategic collaboration and partnerships with, the varied Toyota Tsusho businesses in North America as assigned by HR Management.

The Compensation and Global Mobility Professional supports the Company’s U.S. compensation strategies and manages the full cycle of associate movement across the U.S. and international borders.

You will be a critical liaison with both internal and external partners to ensure compliance with immigration requirements while also facilitating the Company’s development of a competitive and transparent compensation program.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Human Resources and business units to contribute to the Company’s development and maintenance of compensation programs in alignment with the Company’s pay philosophy and ensuring market competitiveness.
  • Support Compensation Team with annual processes such as merit, bonus, incentive and executive compensation programs.
  • Review and approve ad-hoc compensation requests and changes within the organization, ensuring fairness, equality, and accuracy in compliance with established Company programs, policies, and federal/state laws and regulations.
  • Compile and analyze highly sensitive data for usage in salary surveys and to perform market and trend analysis. Regularly reviews compensation data to identify equity, compression or geographical differentials.
  • Provide consultation to People Leaders and Employees/Candidates regarding visa and immigration requirements for employment sponsorship.
  • Liaise with outside counsel on behalf of the Company and employee/candidate regarding application status, inquiries, and updates. Continue to support sponsored employee on various immigration matters throughout their employment lifecycle.
  • Act as project manager from initial consultation to application submission, including tracking deadlines and ensuring timely completion of paperwork at the direction of outside counsel.
  • Ensure compliance with immigration regulations and laws.
  • Periodically provide education on visa and immigration processes, requirements, and potential challenges.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of candidate/employee information, applications, correspondence, and documentation.
  • Process invoicing and accurately maintain tracking spreadsheet.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of visa and immigration services.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

The ideal Global Mobility and Compensation Professional will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or applicable field and typically 3 – 6 years of HR, Compensation, and/or Global Mobility experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation or HR Certification is preferred.

Must have proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Ability to perform basic Internet research is also preferred. Proficiency working in HRIS Systems (Workday and Compensation Market Research systems preferred).

Experience with Workday is preferred.

Knowledgeable of various state and federal requirements, including FLSA highly preferred.
