Faculty in Cancer Bioinformatics and Computational Oncology lead independent research programs focused on developing innovative computational methods for the analysis of multimodal omics and clinical cancer data. Possible areas of research focus include, but are not limited to, advancing methods to integrate complex multiscale and multiomics cancer data, rigorously computational methods for the discovery of cancer driver mutations, development and validation of novel computational drug discovery and drug repurposing pipelines, building novel deep phenotyping methods for patient stratification and to advancing precision medicine, and development of novel clinical outcomes models in oncology.
As a faculty member in the Department of Computational Biomedicine and Cedars-Sinai Cancer, you are expected to establish an independent and innovative methodological research program, be involved in collaborative research with medical, basic science, and population science investigators, and actively participate in our educational mission.

Our compensation philosophy:
We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The base pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
Pay Range: $71,094 - $235,019 Base Compensation
Qualifications
- Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Health AI, Computer Science, Data Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, or related field
- Track record of publications in high-impact cancer research journals
- Ability to develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program
- Track record of designing, developing, and validating innovative computational methods for high impact cancer research challenges
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
