Construction Engineer Project Manager Responsibilities Include
Provide on-site quality assurance of large construction projects ($5M to $400M) as owner’s representative.
Proactively communicate with agent and stakeholders to identify project issues, propose solutions, discuss technical requirements, provide detailed analysis, and document results.
Work with higher headquarters on program-level strategy and briefings.
Develop client-ready written documents (e.g., email ready to send, bullet background paper, summary of findings, root cause analysis, etc.).
Review/analyze contract documents and standards (e.g., UFCs and AFIs).
Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including defining objectives, scope, budget, timelines, and resource requirements.
Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate the project team, including engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays or cost overruns.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Construction Engineer Project Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities Requested
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, preferably engineering or construction (in some cases experience and relevant degree may be substituted for the degree requirement).
PE, advanced degree, or PMP is a plus.
At least three years of relevant experience, preferably with airfield facilities such as pavements, fuel systems, hangars, etc.
Experience with complex facility design/construction projects.
Experience solving project challenges such as conflict resolution, claims management, etc. is a plus.
Experience at a US military headquarters-level organization on MILCON or similar programs is a plus.
Experience with Architectural & Engineering (A&E) companies and contracts is a plus.
Experience with construction cost and schedule estimating is a plus.
Past applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: Construction Project Manager, MILCON Program Manager, or Airfield Pavements Engineer.
Must pass pre-employment qualifications for a federal contracting firm.
