We're looking for a Contract Processor for a Mortgage Processing Company


Job Responsibilities


- Document Review and Verification: Reviewing loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.

- Communication: Coordinating with loan officers, underwriters, and applicants to gather additional information or clarification.

- Compliance: Ensuring all documentation meets regulatory and lender requirements.

- File Management: Organizing and maintaining loan files, both electronic and physical.

- Processing: Entering data into loan processing systems, verifying information, and preparing loan packages for underwriting.

- Follow-Up: Tracking the status of loan applications and following up on outstanding documents or information.


Requirements


- High School Diploma or GED: Minimum educational requirement.

 - Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) License must be licensed. 

- Certification: Optional certifications, such as Certified Mortgage Processor (CMP), can be beneficial and may be preferred by employers.

- Previous Experience: 1-3 years of experience in mortgage processing, underwriting, or a related field is often required.

- Familiarity with Mortgage Industry: Knowledge of mortgage lending processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.

- Attention to Detail: Essential for accurately reviewing and processing mortgage applications.

- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple files and tasks simultaneously.

- Communication Skills: Proficient in written and verbal communication to interact with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.

- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with mortgage processing software and tools, such as Encompass, Calyx Point, or similar systems.

- Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.

- Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the processing of mortgage applications.

- Integrity and Confidentiality: Handling sensitive financial information with the utmost confidentiality and integrity.

- Customer Service Orientation: A focus on providing excellent service to clients and stakeholders.

- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing regulations, guidelines, and industry standards.
