Job Description

Robinson Aviation (RVA), Inc. is looking for a Contracts & Accounting Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will be seated in our Oklahoma City corporate headquarters office. Telework is not available for this position. This individual will work in a team environment and need to develop and execute new strategies for improving the efficiency of the contracting and accounting functions. Will function as a liaison to executive leadership when resolving issues.

The Contracts & Accounting Specialist will focus on establishing payment terms, initiating, and monitoring invoicing, collections, and funding to support financial objectives. Will have ownership of various contracting tasks to comply with daily, monthly, and quarterly requirements.

In this role, the selected candidate will:

  • Assist with proposal preparation and contract administration activities from the proposal through closeout
  • Assist proposal preparation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
  • Assist contract personnel with establishing credentials in customer systems, including SAMs and FAA’s CEDAR program
  • Provide support to Safety/Quality assurance
  • Compiling reports, tracking completion dates, and ensuring submission within contractual timelines
  • Conducting research, analyzing data, identifying trends, and preparing reports
  • Analyzing programs, policies, procedures, and systems and making recommendations to optimize
  • Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Work diplomatically and constructively with all levels and cultures within the organization and build positive working relationships

  • Work complex assignments independently and support finance, program management, contracting, and various levels of executive leadership
  • Enter and manage data in the Costpoint system
  • Participate in internal and external customer meetings
  • Adhere to controls and processes and assist in the documentation, implementation, and monitoring of company internal control procedures and policies
  • As required, participate in initiatives to improve processes (i.e. participate in working groups)
  • Special projects, as required

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Interpret, apply, and follow contract acquisition rules, company policies, and customer specifications
  • Think strategically, troubleshoot issues and work with various teams to drive tasks to completion efficiently and accurately in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve final work product in an efficient, accurate manner
  • Effectively communicate, verbally and written, with both internal and external customers is imperative
  • Candidate must be an initiative-taker and able to collaborate with team members, including in an advisory role to program management, site management, and the customers

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in the Government contracts field - OR - 2 years with a Master's - OR - 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Government contracting familiarity
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience reviewing price, technical and business proposals to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Experience with County and Federal contracts
  • Strong data management, aggregation, and compilation skills
  • The ability to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deltek/Costpoint/Cognos experience
  • Very proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation), with both internal and external customers
  • Attention to technical details and reconciliation skills
  • Demonstrates problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of AMS/FAR/DFARS/NFS clauses
  • Experience with FAA contracts
  • Experience in the aviation industry and healthcare industry
