About The Opportunity

The National Procurement Office (NPO) has an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Contracts Analyst. In the role, you will independently draft, edit, review, evaluate and negotiate contracts on behalf of National IT, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, and the Federal Reserve System for Information Technology (IT) goods and services. Facilitate contract reviews with internal stakeholders. The Senior Contracts Analyst reports to a Senior Manager.

What You Will Do:

  • Review and negotiate complex, custom, high dollar, high visibility IT contracts, including professional services agreements, managed services agreements, equipment hardware agreements, software license agreements, SaaS agreements, telecommunication agreements, maintenance agreements, nondisclosure agreements amendments and transaction documents.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to conduct contract negotiations with vendors; provide contract interpretation and guidance.
  • Negotiate with opposing vendor counsel and direct responsibility to draft and revise contract language
  • Identify gaps in contracts and incorporate appropriate language to protect Federal Reserve interests.
  • Collaborate with Legal counsel on various contract and legal matters including risk mitigation and exposure concerns identified in contracts.
  • Build and foster relationships by serving as a trusted partner with internal stakeholders by collaborating, proactively communicating, and consistently delivering on commitments.
  • Perform research necessary to complete all contractual reviews.
  • Ensure consistency between business requirements and contract terms and conditions.
  • Review and revise contract templates for consistency and overall improvement of language and collaborate with Legal counsel to adopt revised templates.
  • Develop best practices, checklists, and update contract review procedures.
  • Participate in cross functional workgroups and other resources on process improvement opportunities and present outcomes to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of legal background/experience (prefer Attorney, Juris Doctor, or Paralegal)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in corporate contracting, including preparing, analyzing, and negotiating information technology contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience with direct client interfacing and providing direction in legal contract elements.

  • The national hiring range for this role is $86,600 – $119,130, annually.
