Fully Remote Contract Assistant

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

A regional Telecommunications Company with about 2.000 employees is looking for a part-time Contracts Assistant to fill a position that was just recently vacated. The company has great culture and is on a mission to use advanced engineering to connect people to reliable, high-speed internet in some of the most remote regions of the country.


ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Part-time - 20 hours per week
  • Fully remote / work from home (anywhere in the US. Ideally West-Coast.)
  • 6-month contract, likely to extend and/or convert to FTE
  • $30/hr. W2

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The position will be heavily involved in the contract process, it's not just a secretary or paper pusher.
  • Recommending and implementing continued improvement to the contracting process and contract templates.
  • Accepts and processes requests for contract generation, review, or amendments
  • Ensures all required vendor due diligence has been completed and identifies areas of concern
  • Works with requesting department and attorneys, as needed, to create contracts from contract templates or to review contracts on vendor forms
  • Coordinates with attorneys to review contract language and provide necessary edits and respond to 3rd party changes to ensure contracts are in line with our acceptable risk tolerance levels
  • Ensures that all contract documents are complete, and documentation is filed and loaded into the approved online contract database
  • Monitors expiration dates of contracts and works closely with departments on renewals or closures prior to the expiration date


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
  • 1+ year in business administration including contract administration or a similar business support function.


BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Experience working in the telecommunications sector
  • Experience with Liability insurance.
  • Experience in business, process, policy/compliance, quality assurance or project analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, English, Finance, or Communications or related field is preferred.
