Control Room Operator

Primary Purpose: Monitor and control terminal components such as cryogenic equipment (pumps, compressors, blowers, vaporizers, unloading arms, storage tanks), gas turbine generators, electrical systems, utilities systems (air, nitrogen, water sump pumps), fire protection and hazard detection systems, and security systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• System Monitoring: Respond to system alarms and coordinate field activities to resolve abnormal conditions
• Measurement Accuracy: Ensure accurate measurement of liquefied natural gas entering the terminal and natural gas being delivered to other pipelines.
• Coordination: Work with Pipeline Gas Control to avoid and minimize adverse impacts on terminal operations and customer services.
• Emergency Response: Initiate emergency shutdown, containment actions, and emergency notifications in the event of actual or suspected product release.
• Training and Compliance: Successfully complete all regulatory and company training and become familiar with all applicable company policies and procedures.
