Corporate HSSE Advisor

We are partnering with an Oil & Gas client based in Downtown Houston, TX to find a Corporate HSSE Advisor with strong expertise in data analytics, reporting, procedure writing, and technical writing. This role shall report to the HSSE Director. This person will serve as the immediate contact for all Health & Safety standards, procedures, and training-related questions, concerns, or activities.

Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday, fully in-office/on-site (no opportunity for remote/hybrid schedule)

Work Type: Direct Hire

Work Location: Downtown Houston, TX

Travel: 25%

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead corporate HSSE program development and revision process.
  • Assist with incident investigations, facilitate root cause investigations, and ensure corrective actions identified and tracked to completion.
  • Assist with reviewing safety training content for accuracy and providing content updates where necessary to meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Conduct field reviews of locations to ensure compliance with appropriate programs, plans, and training.
  • Complete other business tasks as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience working as a Safety Technician or Specialist position.
  • Experience in Health and Safety policies, procedures, and standards in industrial operations, natural gas operations, or liquefaction facilities, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in incident investigation required, TapRoot experience a plus.
  • Experience in technical writing a plus.
  • Experience in learning management systems a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to enter data, analyze and troubleshoot technical systems, and manage projects.
  • Strong communication written and verbal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Ability to work independently, with a high degree of accountability and accuracy.
  • Eligible to work in the US, pass a drug test and background check with criminal history.
