The Nicolai Production Team at Rejuvenation is responsible for quality craftsmanship, whether it’s a heritage piece from our Antiques & Vintage collection or new, thoughtfully designed products made to last.

Role

Overview of the Craftsperson II role

As part of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support the production of Rejuvenation lighting and hardware products. As a Craftsperson I, you will be assigned to an area of primary responsibility, working in other functions as needed.

Responsibilities


  • Performs duties across a variety of functional areas within the production facility to support the production and shipment of goods , including picking, assembly, finishing, polishing, and shipping and receiving .
  • Duties may include but are not limited to tasks designated as level 2 tasks ( in addition to level 1 tasks ) in the above departments such as: assembling intermediate level fixtures , sandblasting , hand finishing and other finishing activities required for all fixtures and finishes, UL testing , lacquer (loading, offloading and spraying) , polis hing , basic powder coat and painting, etc .
  • Performs in line quality check s to ensure that established quality standards are being maintained.
  • Performs basic process setup and specified adjustments/sc heduled maintenance (i.e. deep cleaning) on designated equipment.
  • Collaborates with associates /teams to c ontribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes, efficient and accurate order completion, and problem resolution.
  • May be assigned to other functional areas based on business need and demand levels .
  • May provide training to new and current associates.
  • Complies with all safety rules , processes, and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Criteria


  • Ability to operate a variety of manufacturing processes and understand set up instructions
  • Minimum of 1-year prior manufacturing or relevant functional experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency of various level 1 process operations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in intermediate process operations including the ability to set up and changeover various types of required equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles preferred. Knowledge of shop math preferred.
  • High school education or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to operate hand, power, and cutting tools
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and speak English at a level to effectively utilize and interpret work and safety instructions.


Work Environment

Work is performed in a manufacturing setting. There may be exposure to flying particles and airborne particles, chemicals, fumes, flammable materials, dirt, grease, and electrical equipment (Personal Protective Equipment provided). May work near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to humid, hot, or cold conditions.
