Credit Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for credit risk analysis, debt collection, credit control and supervision, and credit policy administration. They will establish, review, and update credit policies and manage our relationships with clients by setting credit limits, ensuring timely payments, and resolving any issues.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential clients by analyzing financial information and consulting with the sales team.
2. Set individual credit limits based on risk, commercial profitability, and market conditions.
3. Monitor the credit exposure of individual clients and the company overall.
4. Administer and review the company's credit policies.
5. Conduct regular account reviews to ensure compliance with credit policy and risk appropriateness.
6. Collaborate with our collections team to monitor customer accounts and resolve any delinquent accounts.
7. Prepare detailed reports and forecasts for management interpretation, providing key recommendations as necessary.
8. Maintain accurate records of loans, analyze the effectiveness of the company’s credit control system and implement changes to improve profitability and reduce bad debts.
9. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Proven experience as a Credit Manager or similar role within a manufacturing industry setting.
3. Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
4. Proficient in MS Office and financial software applications.
5. Excellent analytical skills with an aptitude for accurately interpreting complex financial data.
6. Exceptional negotiation and decision-making skills.
7. Effective communication and leadership abilities.
