Position Title: Data Analytics - Data Analyst

Location: Remote

• Deliver analytical services by identifying, designing, and executing analyses of program data using advanced tools and computational methods to implement the desired analyses effectively.
• Utilize descriptive or inferential statistical methods to gather, explore, and present extensive datasets, revealing underlying patterns and trends.
• Retrieve case management data from the Program Information Management System (PIMS) relational database, utilized to track and store program data.
• Develop visual aids, such as detailed reports, dashboards, or charts, using Data Visualization techniques like Tableau, to assist management in decision-making processes.
• Identify significant factors potentially influencing analysis outcomes, ensuring comprehensive reporting of findings, including potential influencing factors, in all written and analytical reports.
• Apply knowledge of systematic and objective inquiry principles, methods, and processes to conduct study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
• Utilize expertise in Oracle SQL Developer, database development and administration, and familiarity with object-oriented languages like Python, Java, C++, or C# to support data analytics tasks.
  
  

Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required, along with two years of specialized experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Microsoft Excel, and collaborating with clients to develop Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboards. Familiarity with Stata and R statistical programming languages and experience working with large healthcare claims datasets (i.e., tens or hundreds of millions of rows) is essential. Previous exposure to multi-level modeling, including random effects models, and econometric methods is preferred.

Combination of Education and Experience: Candidates may qualify for this position through a combination of education and experience. The experience should be equivalent to four years of specialized experience comparable to the GS-12 level in the Federal Government.
