About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Architect to lead data initiatives to enable data ingestion, data management, and governance efficiencies. This is a highly technical role reporting to the Data Engineering Manager along with whom you will function as the Data Engineering subject matter expert.

About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Architect to lead data initiatives to enable data ingestion, data management, and governance efficiencies. This is a highly technical role reporting to the Data Engineering Manager along with whom you will function as the Data Engineering subject matter expert.
What will you do:
- Lead the design and development of robust data pipelines to ingest, aggregate, and index diverse data sources using Databricks in AWS
- Spearhead the development of a cutting-edge data solutions leveraging Databricks, ensuring delivery within timelines and budget.
- Collaborate closely with the business stakeholders to ensure the data platform effectively supports business goals.
- Mentor and coach data engineers fostering a culture of engineering excellence and innovation.
- Passionate about platform health and resiliency to ensure high availability, real-time alerting, and system health metrics.
- Participate in capacity and resource planning for projects in the product roadmap.
- Deliver projects using Agile principles to demonstrate incremental value in short iterations.
- Champion a culture of fearless innovation while serving as a player coach to the Data Engineering team.
- Work with DevOps team to automate code pipelines using CI/CD principles.
- Contribute code for prototypes as well as planned roadmap features in addition to architecture designs.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 7+ years as Data Architect or Staff Engineer working on large scale data platforms.
- 2+ years’ experience with Databricks using core features like Unity Catalog, Delta Tables, Delta Live Tables is required.
- Sound understanding of leveraging data cache like Redis is required.
- Must be proficient in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
- Experience in building Data Models for NoSQL and RDBMS databases
- Experience writing unit tests and collaborating with Data Quality Analysts is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate seamlessly with functional partners in Data Science and Product Management to define the project milestones from ideation to delivery.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD using GitHub Actions or Databricks Asset Bundles
- AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud certification
- Databricks certification highly desired
- Prior experience with object-oriented programming languages
- Experience with search engines like ElasticSearch or Algolia
