We are seeking a skilled Database Manager with light scripting / coding (JavaScript, Suite Script) skills to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the performance, integrity, and security of our database (NetSuite). Ideally, the candidate will also develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks and enhance database functionality. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and solve database issues efficiently.

Possess a knowledge of Strider and the market we serve
Have 2 or more years of experience in database management and administration
Job Functions:
Serve as a brand ambassador for Strider
Database Administration: Manage and maintain the performance, availability, and security of company database – NetSuite and NetSuite Analytics Warehouse.
Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data across the system.
Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage database backup and recovery plans to prevent data loss.
Optimization: Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries and database structures.
Security: Implement and maintain database security protocols to protect sensitive information.
Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine database tasks and enhance functionality.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database-related issues promptly. Understand and work with all 3rd party companies that are connected to the system.
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and departments to meet database needs and support projects.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and changes.
Compliance: Ensure all database activities comply with industry regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
Ability to make decisions and problem solve
Proficiency in database query optimization
Experience with scripting languages such as Javascript or SuiteScript
Experience with Netsuite or Netsuite Analytics warehouse is beneficial
Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts
History of work with cloud-based database solutions
Familiarity with database backup and recover processes
Understanding of database security best practices
Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Beneficial Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science, IT or related field is a plus, but not required
Thriving in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Being committed to an active lifestyle and exercise
Enthusiastic and positive attitude
Physical Demands:
Able to lift, carry, and move items up to 30 lbs.
Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time using a phone, computer keyboard and monitor
Able to travel freely throughout the US and willing to assist with some after-hours/weekend events
Location and hours:
This position is located in Rapid City, SD
Regular office hours are Mon-Thurs 7:30am to 5 pm and Friday 8 to 12
Hours will need to be flexed to achieve a 40 hour week
Pay:
$22 to $30 per hour depending on experience and up to 20% annual bonus eligibility
