About Our Client:

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a dynamic Deposit Relationship Officer to join their team. This role is pivotal in enhancing client relationships, driving deposit growth, and contributing to the bank's overall success.

Position Overview:

The Deposit Relationship Officer will play a key role in managing and expanding client relationships, promoting deposit products and services, and meeting targeted performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain robust client relationships to identify and address deposit needs with tailored solutions.
  • Deposit Growth Strategies: Develop and execute strategies aimed at increasing the deposit portfolio, achieving sales targets, and enhancing profitability.
  • Product Promotion: Actively market and sell deposit products and services to both existing and prospective clients.
  • Transaction Processing: Ensure accurate and efficient processing of deposit transactions, including account openings, closings, and fund transfers, in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Client Support: Provide exceptional customer service, assisting clients with inquiries, account maintenance, and troubleshooting deposit-related issues.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and client feedback to identify opportunities for product and service enhancements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to develop strategies for client acquisition and retention.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on deposit activities, client relationships, and sales performance to management.

Performance Goals:

  • Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets for deposit products and services.
  • Achieve quarterly growth in deposit levels, focusing on low-cost products and services.
  • Increase deposit balances as defined on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Proactively acquire new deposit clients each month/quarter through outreach and networking.
  • Maintain a high client retention rate by delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships.

Training and Development:

All staff are required to undergo training related to regulatory compliance and job-specific functions. Career enhancement courses are also available. For more details, please refer to the training catalog and consult with management.

Required Competencies and Skills:

  • Communication: Proficiency in English, with Spanish being advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Strong reading, writing, grammar, and math skills; moderate PC skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Banking Knowledge: In-depth understanding of banking operations, policies, procedures, retail bank products, and current banking regulations.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated management and supervisory capabilities.
