Expected achievements
Responsible for the product and tool design of tires, molds and molding related parts:
Design new products & relevant tools for solid tyres fulfilling customer/end user requirements by performing feasibility studies, project planning, analysis, 3D modeling, collaboration with Camsotech European R&D Centre while following process and timeline.
Provide 2D drawings & 3D models of molds, tires & relevant tools for mold & accessory importing and mold inspection after fabrication.
Provide Product related drawing to fulfill customer demand
Follow up on Mold fabrications while liaising with mold manufactures
Guarantee accurate design production in a time efficient & customer focus way by establishing standards, templates, mathematical & scientific modules, applications and enhancements.
Maintain, update & release Product & Tool 2D, 3D drawings & data related to designs by using Product Data Management System (PLM) ensuring compatibility and interoperability in organization.
Involve in relevant research on product development, mold & tool development.
Resolve day-to-day technical problems related to the product & relevant tools on the production lines in manufacturing plants by ensuring conformity to standards in safety, reliability, performance & quality.
Provide support on specific projects and handling of special projects
Preparing models for finite element analysis and do the analysis.
Involvement in reverse engineering.
Involve in product development projects.
Involvement in process development projects.
Resolve & support in handling customer complains.
Support in Mold Purchasing related activities
Act as a contributor for ISO concept & development striving for continuous improvement for standardization.
Perform any other responsibility as assigned by the management.
BSc. Engineering Degree/Higher National Diploma in Technology or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
Excellent communication skills in both English & Sinhala and good interpersonal relationship skills
Innovative, creative and good teamworking skills
