Design System Management Intern
Nursa is a healthcare platform that directly addresses the severe staffing challenges confronting the U.S. healthcare system by connecting qualified registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and certified nursing assistants (CNAs) seeking flexible work with facilities in need of help. Role overview:

- Accurate user-facing documentation
- Effective QA testing of appearance and behavior
- Well-informed design projects with complete user and task flow information
- Comprehensive change impact analysis for business analysts, product managers, and researchers
Responsibilities:
- Organize and Maintain Design Systems: Assist in managing and organizing the Product UI design system standards, documentation, and style guides using tools like Figma and Storybook.
- Conduct Product Audits: Perform audits on the product to ensure design specification is consistent with production environment of the application
- Update Design Specifications: Convert outdated design specification files to align with current production reality. This involves understanding legacy design system standards and recreating product feature design files accordingly.
- Design Future State Demos: Create design demos that illustrate how new standards will be applied to future product features
- Meet Regularly with UI Mentors: Meet with UX and UI designers to discuss blockers, propose solutions and updates, and ensure project work is moving forward
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or a related such as Google UX Design Certificate, Interaction Design Foundation (IDF) Certifications, Nielsen Norman Group (NNG) UX Certification etc,
- Work Samples: Samples of your work that demonstrates an understanding of user experience and interface design principles and design skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) (We use Figma but it’s easy to learn)
- Knowledge of Design Systems: Understanding of design systems and component libraries
- Analytical Skills: Ability to understand and consume standards, test software and evaluate match to of design specifications and update accordingly
- Ability to take direction: completed focused work and respond to feedback with patience and conscientious effort
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail in design execution and documentation
- Creativity and Problem-Solving: Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills to learn quickly, seek, find and user information
