Developer (Technology Specialist)

Must be located in the Kansas City, MO area and willing to work on location 3 days per week.

Overview: We are seeking a well-rounded Technology Specialist to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end development, with additional capabilities across the full stack. This position involves heads-down development work, focusing on assigned tickets and sprinting under the guidance of an Associate Director. This role is not client-facing and will primarily support internal development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain front-end applications using React and, ideally, Drupal.
• Participate in full-stack development as needed, with an emphasis on front-end technologies.
• Collaborate with a team of developers to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of projects.
• Work on a mix of front-end and back-end tasks, adapting to the evolving needs of the project.
• Learn and integrate Drupal CMS as required for the role.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a developer with front-end skills (React and/or Vue.js).
• Experience with PHP and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of Drupal CMS is a significant plus, though not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a sprint-based workflow.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with full-stack development.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

Additional Notes:

• The role is primarily front-end heavy at present but requires a flexible developer capable of handling full-stack responsibilities as needed.
• The team values a candidate who fits well with the team culture and is willing to grow and learn within the role.
• Drupal experience is highly desirable but can be learned on the job if the candidate shows aptitude and willingness.
