Description

Provides state of the art nutrition assessment and education in a variety of settings to patients and significant others helping to optimize diabetes management. The dietitian is an active member of the diabetes team, utilizing current knowledge and concepts of nutrition/diet therapy while developing dietary prescriptions for patients with diabetes, obesity and/or cardiovascular disease. The cross trained dietitian provides education to the professional staff, participates in departmental quality assurance and performance improvement and demonstrates ability to incorporate knowledge of patient age, growth and developmental stage into provision of care. Estimated salary range for this position is $61140.31 - $79482.40 / year depending on experience.

36 hour work week

Qualifications

Degrees: Bachelors Licenses & Certifications: Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) NCBDE Certified Diabetes Educator Additional Qualifications: 2 years of experience providing individual and group out-patient diabetes patient/family education. Experience in working in a Recognized/Accredited Diabetes Program environment preferred.
