Compensation Range: $24.80-28.30 hourly

The Dietitian, exam eligible, is responsible for overseeing the Dietary component in collaboration with their Dietary Supervisor and treatment team using the Discovery Behavioral Health Clinical Model to ensure best practice of nutrition and dietary services are upheld. The Dietitian, exam eligible completes Dietary Assessments when indicated, meets with all patients weekly, conducts dietary groups, dietary exposures, communicates with outside providers & families, and oversees the Diet Technicians. The Dietitian, exam eligible is a full-time role.

Responsibilities
- Meet with patients upon admission to develop and implement a treatment plan
- Initial, weekly, and discharge sessions with patients. Daily written documentation of each session completed in the appropriate time frame.
- Charts each patient’s progress throughout the treatment experience, ensuring all documentation reflects the goals within the treatment plan. The Dietitian, exam eligible, ensures that all documentation is co-signed as required
- Meet with each program patient weekly (according to level of care expectations) to implement and manage individualized dietary meal plans that meet each patient’s specific needs.
- Identify weekly treatment goals and communicate to the treatment team relative to individual patient needs. Registered Dietitian is an integral part of the treatment team process.
- Co-facilitate therapeutic family and support system work appropriate to level of care.
- Facilitate meals and dietary groups that are appropriate to the age group and level of care
- Make appropriate changes to individualized meal plan as needed based on weekly weights, behaviors and overall progress with treatment goals Communication with referring and/or outpatient dietitian upon admit to treatment, throughout course of treatment as needed, and upon discharge from Outpatient Program.
- Communication with Medical Doctor, as needed, regarding any medical problems that may require dietary intervention. Communication with Psychiatrist where applicable.
- RD remains appropriately accessible to family members, including weekly communication (phone, email or in person) with parents of adolescents.
- Represents Center for Discovery through a positive and professional public presence while out in community settings such as educational events, Marketing events, Conferences and Talks.
- Understanding of application of Motivational Interviewing.
- Completes all the responsibilities of the Registered Dietitian outlined in the Registered Dietitian Manual (per level of care).
- Participates in on-call rotation as needed (residential level of care only)

, Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with appropriate emphasis in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Completion of Dietetic Internship; RD Exam eligible
- Must have a servsafe certification in order.
- One-year experience preferred in dietary services.
- Must possess a current Driver’s License and be in good standing
