What We’re Looking For

Quadrant’s digital team uses social listening, media monitoring, search trends, and more to study public online conversations among expert and hard-to-reach audiences. Digital Senior Consultants lead all stages of the team’s research projects from business development through data analysis, report construction, team management, and client interactions. This role is especially focused on technical clients and topics involved in areas such as cloud services marketing, ad tech product development, financial policy analysis, and more.

The ideal candidate is interested in technology news and internet trends, deeply familiar with online communities (tech forums, Reddit communities, YouTube and TikTok influencers, etc.), and passionate about problem-solving and hands-on data analysis.. Expertise with using digital listening tools to study online conversations is at the core of this function as is experience with digital marketing and communications.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages relationships with select clients with little-to-no (digital) VP involvement – designing projects, managing requests, spotting new opportunities, etc.
  • Works with partners to scope, design, and execute client engagements, including writing proposals, strategy and research memos and other external reports, and presenting them to clients.
  • Manages research projects from inception through final deliverables, including managing resources across the team to meet project goals and deadlines, overseeing deadlines and communications, and ensuring a high quality process and deliverables.
  • Drafts queries for the most complex tracking, multi-channel, and international projects. Leads on setup of most advanced projects.
  • Responds to all deliverable-specific client feedback (e.g. questions, edits, clarifications).
  • Leads training sessions for both internal digital (e.g. query creation, tool usage, writing style) and firm-wide (e.g. meet digital) purposes.
  • Maintains a complete, detailed understanding of all digital tools used by the team – especially advanced features (e.g. audience list building, data uploads, model training, etc.).
  • Gathers and analyzes data beyond core research platforms, leveraging direct scraping, Excel/Sheets-based statistical analysis, manual data pulls, and more.
  • Produces impactful and well-designed charts, slides, and data visualizations to communicate key ideas using listening, productivity, and BI tools.
  • Delivers near-final deliverables (e.g. memos, emails, presentations, etc.) for VP review.
  • Directly manages and develops a team of Associates and Senior Associates (typically 1-3 staff members), including training and mentoring new hires, managing bandwidth, providing constructive feedback, and conducting regular performance reviews.
  • Participates in the management and operations of the team, including developing and managing vendor relationships, determining staffing levels, creating new products, and assisting with business development.

  • Ability to write about technical topics in digestible and articulate way
  • Technical background or experience with digital advertising & marketing
  • Expertise writing complicated Boolean queries as well as using social listening-focused query operators and search filters
  • Experienced communications strategist
  • Experienced and effective team and project manager
  • Demonstrated orientation toward client service
  • Demonstrates excellent judgment and perfect discretion
  • In depth experience with one or more of the following tools: Brandwatch, Netbase, Synthesio, Sprinklr, Talkwalker, Sprout Social, Infegy, Khoros, Dataminr, Meltwater, Hootsuite, Brand 24, Cision, Critical Mention, Muck Rack, LexisNexis, SignalAI, Prowly, Similarweb, Audiense, SEM Rush

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong academic record
  • Five to seven years’ work experience, preferably in digital advertising & marketing, communications, strategy, policy analysis, consulting or related professional services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel as well as Google Workspace
  • Extensive experience using industry-leading social listening or media monitoring tools.

Compensation

  • $90,000-$115,000 annually
  • Annual opportunities for performance-based bonuses
