What You’ll Be Doing

The Director, Commercial IT Applications and Information Management will be responsible for leading the management of systems that enable Nuvation Bio’s Commercial IT function. As part of this position, this individual will be responsible for IT applications and information management by providing leadership and strategic direction on cross-functional commercial systems. Though broad technical expertise is required, this position plays a critical role in being able to bridge the technical-to-business gap by articulating highly technical concepts in business terms.

You will be responsible for…

  • Prioritize, direct, and manage portfolio of IT projects in support of commercial business goals to ensure delivery of projects and support within determined timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate closely with IT leadership and the business leads to provide application portfolio leadership for Sales, Commercial Ops, Market Access, Marketing, and Medical Affairs
  • Directs Team of FTEs, consultants, and partners on IT efforts required for commercialization of Nuvation Bio products
  • Devise and build application support structure by way of competency center and/or managed services
  • Responsible for strategizing, implementing, and supporting of CRM, MLR, MedComms, Speaker Management Systems, MIRF, etc.
  • Serve as IT SME on Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and related business processes by utilizing expertise in areas such as Sunshine Act Reporting, FMV, Payer Data, Formulary, Compliance, etc
  • Provide leadership and oversight regarding data governance, architecture, and warehousing for Commercial data
  • Drive strategic assessments and RFP for IT applications and data vendor selections
  • Oversee vendor work quality and productivity while managing vendor relationships and contracting.
  • Work with business leads on commercial systems that meet business requirements and develop a process to provide continuous improvement and business efficiency
  • Work with business functions to manage strategic roadmap for Information Management (IM), Master Data Management (MDM), Commercial Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence Reporting platforms, and Middleware solutions (ETL)
  • Establish industry best practices in the area of Information Management, Data Warehousing, Master Data Management, and BI Reporting.
  • Partner with commercial operations to implement internal information and data Management guidelines and policies.
  • Lead large cross-functional programs to develop and implement critical information services
  • Together with compliance, establish guidelines and policies to ensure best application, information management practices with existing healthcare and government regulations.
  • Own end-to-end responsibility for all reporting platforms, information management stores, and related data integration processes.
  • Vendor management of 3rd party Data Aggregator, SPs, and other data providers

What Knowledge & Experience You'll Bring To Us...

  • 10+ years IT management experience and 3+ years managing cloud applications required
  • Ability to provide appropriate leadership in strategic business architecture and technology architecture planning
  • Ability to lead complex, integrated solutions planning, designs, and implementations
  • Proven ability to deliver upon multiple concurrent priorities for functional and/or technical domain
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with business partners
  • Proven ability to implement and manage vendors and managed services
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work in a matrix environment and to value the importance of teamwork
  • Experience with Data Warehouse or data management and reporting (Business Intelligence) solutions
  • Commercial compliance and Sunshine Act reporting experience
  • Life Science industry experience a plus
  • Primary Applications: Veeva CRM , Veeva Vault, Speaker Management Systems, IRMS
  • Experience working in environment using MDM (HCP/HCO), DW, BI, and Data Aggregator desired
  • Understanding of Pharmaceutical Industry and Specialty Pharmacy dispensed drugs highly desirable

The pay range for this position is $215,000 to $235,000 per year, which may factor in various geographic regions. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location among other factors. Our full-time regular positions also include an annual performance-based bonus and long-term incentive units (equity) provided as part of our compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.
