Position Summary
This position is for a Director of Software Development for our Mainframe Development group. This is a hands-on management position leading a team of developers building and supporting the EPN application.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing the mainframe applications that support our core Product application.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or another related field
10+ years related experience, at least 5 years in a management capacity.
Thorough knowledge of Unisys Clearpath MCP Systems, secure development practices and SDLC
Experience with COBOL, ALGOL and Workflow Language (WFL) with corresponding ability to develop solutions on a Unisys Clearpath MCP mainframe environment.
Experience with Unisys Clearpath MCP Development Environment- System/Editor, CANDE, NX/Webstation (WebEnabler), NX/Services, Programmer’s Workbench
Experience in both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
Knowledgeable in Project Management methods, processes, and deliverables
Experience tracking and reporting relevant development metrics (e.g., capacity, productivity, progress, quality)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in building a solid team than can work across multiple application teams.
Participate in the development and maintenance of an Enterprise Application Architecture.
Qualifications Desired
Knowledge of EPN application processing and NACHA rules
Familiarity with Unisys Clearpath MCP Operations – Operator Display Terminal (ODT) commands, MARC, Remotespo, Security, File System
Knowledge of DMSII Databases
