Director of Application Engineering

Our most near and dear client in Dallas is searching for it's new Director of Engineering and Supply Chain Applications! Our client is a global manufacturing company, with a thriving culture and great leadership team.

As the Director of Engineering and Supply Chain Applications, you will be responsible for:

• Guiding in transforming the Order to cash, Procure to Pay, Record to report business processes and enabling technologies (ERP, MRO, MRP system) through deep functional and deployment expertise. This includes customer facing capabilities and internal use and operations.
• Assist in the transformation of the Engineering portfolios and enabling technologies (Autodesk, Solid works, Ship Constructor), inclusive of PDM, through deep functional and deployment expertise.
• Bring technology and operational leadership skills, along with the use of Agile or Waterfall Methodologies to design, build, test, deploy and support Enterprise and Business Unit applications.
• Play a strategic role in identifying technology direction that would enable the business to achieve business goals more effectively within and across assigned application portfolio(s).
• Responsible for managing third party services delivery organizations providing support for one or more applications with the assigned portfolio.
• Develop and manage applications to a strategic plan, which will ensure the company is positioned to grow, able to seize new opportunities and maintain superior customer services to internal and external customers.
• Lead Autodesk Suite, Vault, MRO, and other engineering app projects.
• Assist in designing, building, and deploying design application integration with the ERP.

If you possess the following qualifications, we encourage you to apply:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.
• 5+ years of experience working within a Supply Chain system
• 2+ years of Director (or higher) leadership experience
• 8+ years of experience managing distributed software development teams, ideal candidate should have experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience implementing several ERP or other enterprise wide system implementations
