Marketing Alliance Group is seeking a Director of Benefits and Compliance. The Director of Benefits and Compliance provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organizations Benefits, Safety, Labor Law and Compliance. The Director is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources and safety policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organizations long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through policy, procedures, and talent management.
Identifies key performance indicators for the organizations human resource and talent management functions; assesses the organizations success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource management team; assists with resolution of human resource, compensation, benefits, and safety questions, concerns, and issues.
Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
Directs preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform employees of benefits programs such as insurance plans, pension plans, 401(k), life and special employer-sponsored plans.
Plans the modification of existing benefits programs.
Identifies and eliminates risks of noncompliance both externally and internally.
Negotiates company’s benefit plans with executive leadership to support the strategic priorities of the Company.
Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, safety, and talent management.
Assists with recruiting / staffing senior management level positions.
Manages worker compensation cases.
Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; occupational safety degree a plus.
At least ten years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred.
Three to five years safety experience and/or training in an industrial/manufacturing environment. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard identification and corrections, environmental regulations, workers compensation and human behavior and physical attributes related to job capabilities.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Prolonged periods standing / walking plant floors.
Must be able to commute to the various company facilities.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
