Tasso is a fast-growing Seattle-based startup that delivers at-home diagnostic testing to those who need it most. Tasso was founded to find a better way to collect blood than a painful fingerstick or time-consuming venous draw. Since then, our products have been used in pharmaceutical clinical trials, by Olympians as part of a new virtual anti-doping program, and broadly by hospital systems across the US. We are growing our footprint with leading health systems, clinical research organizations, academic medical centers, and more who are looking to deliver clinical-grade, convenient diagnostic tests to their patients.

Summery

Tasso is growing our BD organization by hiring a Director of Business Development to focus on growing our B2B/commercial marketplace. This would include labs, wellness and lifestyle companies, life insurance companies, and pretty much any commercial venture that requires a blood test as part of its business model. We have other teams already dedicated to supporting clinical research and healthcare payer/providers. This role will be a full mix of prospecting, new client development, and account management.

What You Will Do

  • Identify and collaborate with key decision-makers and influencers at appropriate commercial organizations, managing the ‘end-to-end’ journey from proactive outreach through deal closure and successful launch
  • Help define and execute critical milestones in the sales cycle and integrate those milestones with Tasso’s Sales Operations processes to drive successful customer relationships
  • Document and update leadership on all events that affect forecasts or OKRs
  • Collaborate with Tasso’s Commercial Leadership Team and Product Managers to identify key product requirements to drive rapid and scalable market adoption
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including Clinical R&D, Product, Operations and others to bring back market feedback to continuously iterate on our market message
  • Meet or exceed revenue goals and OKRs

What You Bring

  • B.A. or B.S. degree
  • 5+ years of relevant sales experience
  • Documented track record of top sales performance in your current and previous roles
  • Self-starter who works well with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, consultative selling with customers, and a team-first mentality with your Tasso colleagues
  • Attention to detail – tracking and managing your progress within Salesforce
